Why I Created a Local Job Board

The Tri-Valley and Tracy areas are great places to live and work.

I have been a resident of the Tri-Valley for the past 11 years and drove through the Tri-Valley via Vasco Road for 10 years prior. During those early years, I envied the neighborhoods, enjoyed the beautiful scenery, sensed the family-oriented suburbs, and noticed the well-maintained city infrastructure. When our family decided to move closer to work, we chose the Tri-Valley and love it here! Even though the move reduced my time on the road, the drive was still daunting.

Then COVID hit! Many people, including myself, primarily worked from home. While the global pandemic was devastating to many, there was a silver lining for our family. I was able to spend more time with our kids, cook healthier meals more often instead of getting take-out, stay on top of household chores instead of spending the weekend doing laundry, while continuing to still be effective at my job. Most importantly, I was able to trade the commute time and energy for more valuable things in life. Pre-COVID was a never-ending sprint that took a toll on my family and health. COVID shined the spotlight on what’s important in life. This has become a common post-COVID story, but one that explains the beginnings of Tri-Valley Tracy Jobs.

When it came time to return to the office, I had to make a change.  I wanted a job near home in a hybrid or remote capacity. How and where do I find that? The large familiar job board posts many jobs, but they are widespread and not geographically focused. There are a few websites that display local job listings, but their job list is sparse or filtering to specific parameters was not an option. The Tri-Valley and Tracy area needs a job board that is focused on them, their cities, their neighborhoods, their local companies. I have been on both sides of the job search as the Head of Human Resources of a Silicon Valley technology company as well as an unemployed professional affected by the economic roller coaster dives. With both views in mind, I felt this website could become a common place for many to connect. This is the reason why I created the job board.

Tri-Valley Tracy Jobs is an online job listing board that focuses on job seekers looking for work and hiring companies looking for candidates in the California cities of Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon, Danville, and Tracy. While the job board has geographic requirements, it is open to all industries, all job functions, all job levels, and all job types. As people learn about us, we hope Tri-Valley Tracy Jobs will become the first place they go to look for a job in the area.
